Responsibilities

Strategic Planning: Lead strategic media planning work with multiple clients. Develop ongoing client campaigns and media programs that excite the client and deliver against their objectives. Expertise with direct response, acquisition, and revenue campaign objectives. Oversee the media strategy, planning, buying, execution, monitoring, and optimization process. 

Operational Management: Own critical processes for media execution such as: political verification on Facebook and Google, domain verification for Facebook, quality assurance of site conversion tagging, and tracking of spending to internal ad operations dashboard.

Data and Insights: Educate clients and internal teams on media metrics and key performance indicators. A natural affinity with numbers and analysis is a must. Enjoy the process of testing, learning, and optimizing.

Internal Communication and Management: Maintain excellent communication within the media team, operating transparently with senior management and junior staff. Manage and mentor junior staff. Develop the next generation of media professionals. Build rapport and work effectively across account management, operations, and creative teams. Educate and train internal staff on the capabilities of the media environment. Create and manage processes that improve internal collaboration. 

Media Knowledgebase: Be a subject matter expert on a specific media area, for example, CTV, Programmatic, Cookieless Identity Solutions, or Social Video. Build an impressive understanding of the integrated media environment – know this world by heart and keep up with the rapid changes happening within it – and a clear understanding of the media planning and buying process. Client Management: Maintain client relationships, understand their needs, manage expectations, and build trust. Deliver strategic and tactical insights to the client, adding consultative value to client media programs. Manage the various levels of client savviness and advocate for the Trilogy Way of media buying.

Vendor and Technology Management: Own relationships with media and technology vendors - keeping tabs on the latest developments and figuring out how we can adapt to the best the marketplace has to offer. 

Business Development: Be a presence in the outbound business of Trilogy through any combination of: networking, conferences, external marketing, thought leadership, white papers, pitches, etc. Actively participate in the business development process.

Qualifications

  • Minimum six years of prior digital media planning/buying experience at an agency

  • Minimum two years of management and mentorship experience 

  • Demonstrated success running direct response and branding media campaigns

  • Demonstrated success working with clients of various budget ranges

  • Exceptional attention to detail 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Eagerness to analyze data and tell stories through insights and analysis

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time, for long periods of time

  • Ability to professionally and respectfully disagree in a constructive manner

  • Ad Operations experience, such as naming taxonomy, targeting, and trafficking

  • Proficiency with Facebook, Google, and programmatic buying platforms

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (or Google/Apple equivalent products)

Although political expertise is not a necessity to qualify for this position, you should at least be intrigued by progressive candidates, causes, and organizations. Our team of highly experienced strategists will be available to help provide guidance, but a personal interest in politics will help you immensely.

Salary & Benefits

The minimum salary expectation for this role is $107,500. Exact title and salary to be determined based on experience, based on Trilogy’s transparent salary structure.
